Combe Mill - Members checking the standby boiler fire tubes Combe Mill - A member explains how a small engine works
Use your understanding of industrial and agricultural artefacts to guide our visitors on open days and contribute to the enjoyment of everyone.
We  need a whole variety of skills to make Combe Mill Museum a success.  Members are of all ages and backgrounds. From recording, displaying and maintaining the artefacts to repairing old engines you could enjoy volunteering to help at the Mill.
Try your hand at new skills - learn at the forge to work hot metal - find out about how the line shafting takes power from the engine or the water wheel to the machinery.

You do not need to be technically minded or get your hands dirty if you do not want to. There are lots of jobs behind the scenes, too.

Come and offer your skills and you may learn some new ones yourself. Come along to the Mill any Thursday evening and introduce yourself. You are welcome to join the Combe Mill Society by downloading and returning the application form.
